The Oakland Temple Visitors’ Center will be temporarily closed for renovation beginning June 1 through September 1. These improvements are being made to better serve the thousands of guests who visit Temple Hill each year.
While the Visitors’ Center building will be closed during this time, we are pleased to continue welcoming all visitors to the beautiful grounds of the Oakland Temple. We have thoughtfully arranged a variety of guided and self-guided outdoor experiences to ensure that every guest, individuals, families, and groups can enjoy a meaningful and memorable visit.
During this renovation period, the Visitors’ Center will continue operations from the lobby of the Temple Hill Auditorium. Hours of operation will be:
Monday – Closed
Tuesday – Thursday 12pm-8pm
Friday – 12pm-9pm
Saturday – 9:00am-7:00pm
Sundays – 9:00am-7:00pm
These experiences will remain Christ-centered and are designed to help visitors of all ages better understand the purpose of temples, reflect on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and feel the peace, beauty, and spirit that make Temple Hill a sacred and special place.
We warmly invite you to come and enjoy the gardens, the views, and the peaceful atmosphere. Our team looks forward to welcoming you and helping you have a fulfilling and uplifting experience during your visit.
We appreciate your understanding during this time of improvement and look forward to reopening the Visitors’ Center in September.
