Celebrate the season with beloved Christmas carols performed on solo acoustic guitar by Brent Horrocks.

Brent Horrocks has enjoyed playing guitar for most of his life. His first performances were at his Grandma Nita’s Christmas parties, where, as a teenager, he played “Silent Night” while the whole family would sing along. He now plays in his family’s annual Christmas pageant and is often asked to play at church. A few years ago, Grandma Nita challenged him to record a Christmas song every day leading up to Christmas and share it with the whole family as a way to keep everyone connected. This month of daily practice helped Brent learn the arrangements he will perform this year.

Brent plays fingerstyle, picking out the melody, harmony, and bass all at once. His program pairs festive favorites like “Deck the Halls” and “Joy to the World” with sacred carols like “Wexford Carol”, “Away in a Manger”, and “O Holy Night”. And, of course, “Silent Night”, the song where it all began.

Brent lives in the East Bay with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
