We will discuss the recent addition to FamilySearch: “Expand your search with Full Text”. Kelvin Brewer serves as a full-time missionary at the Oakland FamilySearch Center. He and his wife Kara are most recently from Saratoga Springs Utah, and prior to that lived in the Pacific Northwest. Kelvin was raised by parents who enjoyed genealogical research, and gathering and writing family histories. Using the histories gathered by his parents, Kelvin completed a “Story Book” highlighting selected stories of his ancestors. Kelvin has become proficient with FamilySearch, and served as a FamilySearch consultant for the church congregations where he resided. Kelvin has also become adept with the media digital scanning equipment at the FamilySearch Center. Kelvin retired in January 2024 from managing government contracts for Northrop Grumman.
