30th Annual Cambodian New Year Celebration at Temple Hill
You and your family are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate 30 years of preserving, teaching, and honoring Khmer culture and classical dance at the 30el Annual Cambodian New Year Celebration on Temple Hill on Saturday, March 21S t at 4:00 PM.
For three decades, this annual celebration has brought together generations of families and youth from multiple communities—including Oakland, Modesto, Stockton, and San Jose—to celebrate our shared heritage, strengthen cultural pride, and pass on Khmer traditions to the next generation. This milestone year is a true reflection of unity, resilience, and cultural continuity within our Cambodian community.
The program will feature beautiful and meaningful cultural performances in the auditorium, presented by the talented youth of the Oakland 10el Branch Walnut Creek Stake, along with friends performing from Modesto, Stockton, and San Jose, including the Khmer Angkor Dance Troupe, whose mission for the past 30 years has been the preservation of classical Khmer dance and cultural traditions.
Following the performances, guests are invited to continue the celebration in the large cultural hall, where you can enjoy:
- traditional Khmer cultural game demonstrations
- sampling authentic Khmer foods and desserts
- raffle giveaways
- Khmer music and entertainment
This is a family-friendly event, open to the public, and all are welcome to experience the richness of Cambodian New Year traditions. Guests are encouraged to wear traditional Khmer attire or a checkered scarf (krama) if you have one, as we come together in cultural pride and celebration.
